About

headshot

Currently, I’m an Associate Director at the Kaleo Center for Faith, Justice, and Social Transformation, as well as a Master of Divinity Student at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Prior to Kaleo, I held posts at TakeAction Minnesota as Director of Movement Building, the Seasons Fund for Social Transformation as it’s Executive Director, and at Progressive Technology Project (PTP) as its Executive Director following 7 years as its Capacity Building Program Director.

I’m a graduate of the Year-Long Fellowship program at Rockwood Leadership Institute and an active member of my church where I participate in small group ministry and religious education. I’m also a Board Member of the Movement Strategy Center, the Church of the Larger Fellowship, and an Advisory Committee member for MN Community Sings. In years past, I’ve served on a number of boards and advisory committees with organizations such as the Headwaters Foundation, the Minneapolis Foundation, and the Data Center.

But my work is just part of the story. The bigger story about me is the story of my family, specifically my wife and kids. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful wife and two beautiful kids who are in so many ways the heart of my heart and my guides in this life. We make our home in St Paul, MN where we share a house with two cats and a garden that’s often threatening to overwhelm us. I spend my “down” time with my family, and love nothing more than a long-ish bike ride, cooking or baking in the kitchen, or my newest pastime, brewing up a batch of beer. Winters find us snuggling and reading by the fire, while in summer you’ll often find us at our place in WI, where its more than likely I’ll be out fishing.
